T.G.I.F and I think I can hear an “amen” coming from most of you!

This week has been so stressful for me and my family. We purchased our first home and closed on Wednesday and lemme tell ya, that was the hardest process of the whole buying ordeal. First the papers we needed to sign got here on Saturday, then we had to FedEx them back for them to get there on Monday. But…when the papers arrived, they were void because the title company had put the wrong dates on all of them! OY, what a mess! Luckily we were able to get a new set of papers, sign them and send them back. It was a heck of a week with the phone ringing off the hook and running to and fro trying to get things done…but we did it and we are so thankful that it’s done and we have our first home. It’s really super exciting.

This week for the From Our Blog to Yours entry, I’m asking you to list 5 songs that sum up your week. After each song, please explain why you picked it and how it fits within the experiences of your week.

Here are mine:

1. Manic Monday – The Bangles : Yep, that explains my Monday to a tee. Monday was the day we found out the title company royally botched up the paper work they sent us on the house, and everything was null and void. What made us angry was the fact that we spent $40 to overnight a pack of paperwork that went in the garbage. Grrrrrrr.

2. No One Needs To Know – Shania Twain: Bought me a few digital goodies that I didn’t tell hubby about. Shhh…what he don’t know won’t hurt him. :p

3. Beautiful Day – U2: Finally the weather has started to warm up a little! We’re finally out of the 30s and 40s and into the 50s and 60s during the day. I just know that the 70s arent far behind. I love warm weather!!!

4. Fallin’ – Alicia Keys: This week we went to a birthday party for the daughter of a friend of ours. The party was located at a skating rink. I was able to coax DH into a pair of skates so that after 15 years of NOT skating, we could embarass ourselves out on the floor. I thought for sure I would be more stable on my feet than I was, seeing as when we were teens, we were at the roller rink every stinkin’ weekend. I was wrong and my fat butt was on the floor twice. I have the skinned up knees to prove it. Yeah thats right…laugh it up.

5. American Idiot – Green Day: How I feel after watching that stupid “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” game show.
