Hi Sweet Shoppe Bloggers!! This week, I want to get to know our readers better! I’ve noticed from all the posts in the forums that we have gals from all over the place. So many different cities, states, and even countries. So, I’m asking you to tell us all about the place you call home! How did you come to live where you do? How long have you lived there? What is your favorite thing about your city? Show us some photos if you have them, or even make a layout about your town! Share anything you’d like!

I came to Memphis, TN about 9 years ago when my husband was offered a job here. I can’t see myself living anywhere else! I love the history, the culture, and especially the MUSIC in this city! Elvis himself called it home for most of his life. Although we don’t live downtown, it is my favorite spot to hang out. It is home to the third largest pyramid in the world:

Memphis is right on the Mississippi River, and this architectural bridge connects us to Arkansas:

We even have our own version of New Orleans’ Bourbon Street: Beale Street. Full of hot spots, restaurants, clubs, and bars, there’s always something to do on Beale!

And, of course, we have the famous Peabody Hotel, complete with ducks. This is my absolute favorite place to have a cocktail!!
