From Our Blog 2 Yours
Happy Friday!!
How can it be the first of February already? wow! This month is crazy busy for my family as both my daughter and I have birthdays. With our house still being on the market (showings are finally starting to pick up), I have a feeling that this whole month will go by in a blur.
So for our blog challenge this week, I want to learn a little more about you in real life! Let’s talk occupations! Do you work outside the home? Are you a FT mom? Do you homeschool? Work from home? Give us the scoop!
I’ll start… I work FT in an orthodontic office. I’m an assistant, so I’m the one who sits down with the kids and works on their braces — changing wires, taking xrays, fitting appliances, etc. I love my job because I get to talk to a variety of people while I work. I’ll have to change jobs when we move, but I hope to stay in orthodontics (as opposed to other types of dentistry) because it’s what i love!
So that’s it for me. How do you spend your days?

I was a SAHM for 5 years, until recently I started working at the daycare at my DS’s school. So I am in the infant room…babies, babies and more babies LOL But I still get to see my son during the day, so it works for now 🙂

I don’t have a blog yet, but I wanted to play along. I am a Full-time SAHM of 3 wonderful kids. They keep me way too busy to have a paying job.
I do have a computer degree and worked for a few years until I my oldest was almost 2. Now, eight years later I still get to stay home, but I think I’m busier at home than I ever was when I was working. Sometimes, I think if you are a SAHM everyone thinks you have all this time on your hands and they ask you to help with everything. Unfortunately, I have a hard time saying NO. I need to work on that one!
I am a volunteer at my 8 and 10 yr olds’ school, and I try to scrapbook in when my 2-yr olds naps. I am the Cub Master for 30 scouts in my neighborhood, so that keeps me busy too.
I live for scrapbookings and my dream is to someday get on a creative team for one of the cool designers here, but I haven’t seen any calls lately, so I’ll get my fingers crossed and hopefully get up enough courage to apply when a call comes.
Well that’s it for now.

I am a full-time legal secretary to a high maintenance, bi-polar, OCD managing partner of a workers’ compensation defense law firm. I like what I do. I almost like my attorney most of the time. Although my ultimate job would be a SAHM!!! (If only someone would pay me my current salary to do it!!!)

I am a stay at home momma too! Some days I love it, others I wish I was working. . .lets be honest, being a SAHM is hard work! And I only have 1 little one to tend to! So my days include the usual, meals, laundry, cleaning, playing, laughing tickling, running around, paying bills, scrapping when I get a chance!!! Getting things ready for the next day, and lately doing the renos!!! Painting, baseboards, light switches, plug in, I have taught myself to do alot! My hubby hates it when he gets home and I have all these things done, hehehe, makes him feel like he’s not doing his job!! But like I said I love it!! Before a momma I was a full time EMT working on a ground ambulance, and I do sometimes really miss that, not the bad stuff but getting to meet lots of people in different circumstances, hearing their stories and most of the time making them feel better! Since having Jade I would never go back. . . I have seen way to much sorrow to be able to deal with that having a child of my own now. I love being a SAHM!!

I am a full-time IT Analyst for a large insurance and banking firm. I work on the development team for our .com banking interface. I LOVE what I do. It sometimes means long hours, but it also allows me flexibility when I need it, so that I can leave early for dance lessons and doctors appts.

I am the mother of two sweet little boys ages seven and four. I have been a SAHM for seven years and am currently looking for a job outside of the home, which is tough. I worked my way through college and for eight years after that until the birth of my oldest son, but now my skills are rusty!
Anyway, my oldest goes to school all day for the first time this year and my youngest goes to preschool three mornings a week. DS2 still keeps me pretty busy on his days off and running him to and from school. I also volunteer a couple times a month at the boys’ schools.

I am a SAHM and have been since I had my first child was born, six years ago yesterday…can’t believe that! She is in Kindergarten and my 3 year old son is in preschool, so my days are busy getting them to and from and everything in between. We also do lots of fun activities, outings, playdates, etc. I used to be a Financial Analyst…so I did have a “real” job before kids. I don’t miss it.
For myself, I work out and work on digi-scrapping, I love cooking, all arts and crafts, shopping, baking, I am the Jill of too many hobbies. I need more time!!!!
Hubby is in the Navy and away for 13 months…so my days are really filled lately due to there being 2 of them and one of me.
But I like being home and we have a lot of fun. That’s how I spend my time.

I am a stay at home wife and grandma. My days are pretty busy. I enjoy cooking & scrapping. We live out on an acreage and there’s many pets and some horses. So between the 3 grandkids that live here also..it’s pretty much a full-time job just keeping up with everything! I love it though. Being out in the country has been a dream come true. I also garden and play at landscraping when it’s much warmer. Love herbs & use them for cooking alot too. So basically my days are full of washing, cooking, feeding the animals..in and out 🙂 Making sure there’s plenty of water..that’s a biggy..especially in the winter..like now. Those horse tanks take lots of water! Then it’s scrapping and my last priority would be cleaning the house of course 🙂
Just teasing..that’s about it though!

I am a FT SAHM to 4 wonderful kids. My oldest DS is turning 11 this month, an 8 yoDS, and twin DD that are almost 6!
I received a secretarial degree and worked until I had my first child. However, I am keeping very busy with this crew. I volunteer in the classrooms two days a week and am the room mother for Kindergarten. I have 3 LDS callings; nursery, cub scout advancement leader, and an assistant to the Enrichment Leader.
I love when it when I have a few minutes to actually digi-scrap. I was a paper scrapper for 9 years, but once I tried digi, I was hooked. Now I have two sisters that can’t wait to learn. I also enjoy reading (currently reading the “Twilight” series), cross-stitching, and making bracelets.

I don’t have a blog right now. That would take too much of my time! LOL.
I am a SAHM. I have two kids; my son is 7 and my daughter is 4. I homeschool both of them. That takes up quite a bit of my time! I enjoy teaching them and being able to spend so much time with them.
My DH and I work are leaders of our church’s youth group and this also takes quite a bit of time, but the kids are worth it! We also work in Children’s church. I am blessed and grateful that I have the Lord in my life. 🙂
I love to scrapbook and probably get side tracked too often surfing through scrap sites!! LOL!

How do I spend my days? In front of a computer…..nights- in front of a computer too. 🙂 During the day I’m a Ph.D. candidate in neuroscience, so I’m busy running imaging studies, analyzing data, reading articles, and writing up my research for publication. It’s my last year as a full-time student and then it’s off to the “real world”. Even though I’m on the computer most of the day, I still find it relaxing to spend my “me time” scrapping or playing in Photoshop (usually with the TV on in the bedroom next to me so I can sneak a peek at my shows….can’t just do one thing at at time). LOL Great to read more about all of you!

Right now I am in between jobs. For the last two years I’ve worked as a retail supervisor, didn’t love it, but it was a job I could transfer anywhere we went (we have been moving every year for the last 4 years). We just finished our last move and there is promise of us staying for awhile. We actually bought a house! So I decided it was time to do something for me and quit my job. I am looking into doing some things from home and hopefully go back to school this summer! So for now days are spent unpacking, exploring the area, making actual dinners for my DH when he comes home from work, and doing my scrapbooking in between. It’s been awesome!

I am a 50 yr old wife, mother & grandmother who just recently (6 months ago) began working outside the home. I work in a day care in the infant room, and love it most days! I do miss being able to be playing in CS3 and scrapping as much as I used to. I just need more hours in a day! I love taking photos and would love to take some graphic design and photography classes some day!

I spend way too much time scrapping when I should be typing and I am usually behind, but for the most part i love my job because I can work in my jammies and scrap/surf/snack and all that stuff while I do it and I don’t have to go in to an office every day 🙂

We’re living in Cleveland right now, hoping to move a little farther south soon!! My hobbies are digi scrapping and reading, when I have time! I also love to cook! My husband works with the MRDD here in Cleveland, which is where I also hope to be getting a job in the next week or so.
