Making Stamps from Paper

Some time ago Pam (Pbumbaca) asked me how I made my stamps from paper. I promised that Id write a little tutorial to show how I make them my way. Its a technique I enjoy using especially since Im not very comfortable using patterned paper in my layouts. I always like to clarify things by assuring everyone that I really really love patterned paper in layouts its just that I dont seem to have an eye for combining too many of them in my own! Its actually the multi pattern layouts that make me go – wow! How did you manage do combine all of that schtuff so amazingly!!!!
Another reason I use this technique is that I love the look of paper stamping and there are so many stunning paper patterns that make awesome bases for stamps.
Just a few disclaimers first: This is my first ever Tutorial so pardon any lumps and bumps you spot. Since most people have varying skill sets in their chosen application the tutorial may not be suited to everyones knowledge level (of course, I am hoping that it suits a wide range of skill sets). As a user of Photoshop CS3 my tutorial is based on that specific product – I think it should be easily adaptable to most digi scrapping software but I cant give out any guarantees or provide specific alternatives). If you feel that you need more clarification on anything you can contact me via PM on the site or leave a comment here or in the forum.
On to the tutorial:

Here is a sample of my current Work in progress that showcases this stamping technique:

Hope you get a chance to play with this technique. Ill be starting a thread in the Community Forum so please leave a link to any layout you would like to share in that thread (will give you a link here once Ive started the thread. )

Here is the LINK to the forum thread for those wanting to share.
Have a great weekend everyone!

PPS for all those challenge concious members this one isnt one of those official ones its just a chance to play!!
